Datamicron is a technology-driven organisation operating across multiple meeting spaces on a single site. As the business grew, coordinating those rooms became harder to manage: employees and visitors could not tell at a glance whether a room was free, booked, or about to be used, which occasionally led to double bookings and interruptions during the working day. The client approached us for a clean, professional way to display room status at each doorway, without changing how staff already scheduled their meetings. A wall-mounted meeting room panel was identified as the most direct answer, provided the solution could be proven before every room was fitted at once.

The Solution: 10.1-Inch Meeting Room Panel

We recommended our 10.1-inch meeting room panel, a compact touchscreen display designed to sit outside a room and present its availability clearly. The 10.1-inch size is deliberate for this use case: large enough to be read from down a corridor, yet understated enough to complement the wall beside a door rather than dominate it. Mounted at eye level, each meeting room panel gives anyone walking past an immediate, unambiguous read on whether the room is in use, supporting clearer room identification and a more structured flow around every space.

This proof-of-concept phase let the team confirm, in real working conditions, that the solution solved the problem it was meant to address.

Following the successful trial and a positive evaluation, Datamicron decided to expand the implementation by purchasing an additional six units, bringing the completed project to seven meeting room panels deployed across their premises.
