Taking over the role of the Department of Electricity and Gas Supply, the Energy Commission started its operation on January 1, 2002. The main focus of the commission are reliable electricity and gas supply, reasonable costs and safety. The roles of the Energy Comission is divided into three, namely Economic Regulation, Technical Regulation and Safety Regulation.
